[Aug. 10, 1921] John Marshall Martin, last surviving member of the Confederate Congress, dies at 89 in Ocala, Fla. The representative from Florida also served as a lieutenant colonel in command of the 9th Florida Infantry, and surrendered with Lee at Appomattox.
